How Do I Review The Deep Sea Controller Layout And Access Escape Mode?
A quick overview of the control front, control back, screen functions, and how to activate Escape Mode on supported Deep Sea controllers.
The Deep-Sea controller provides a clear interface for operating and monitoring generator functions. The front panel includes manual and auto modes, start and stop controls, alarm mute, LED indicators, and menu navigation. The back of the controller contains labeled pin groups for wiring, along with the Deep-Sea configuration port and printer cable port.
On the controller screen, you can view key operating data such as engine speed, oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, runtime, fuel level, generator voltage, frequency, load, and more. Additional screens include alarms, current and previous ECU diagnostic trouble codes, and the event log, which stores up to 250 recorded events.
Escape Mode is available through the Editor tab on supported SDG65 to SDG400 generator models. This mode allows temporary bypass of shutdown conditions for testing or verifying repairs related to shutdown codes. To activate Escape Mode, access the Editor display, navigate to the Engine tab, select Escape Mode, switch it from Inactive to Active, and save your settings. Once activated, the unit will run long enough to complete troubleshooting. If the generator does not run in Escape Mode, it must be serviced by the engine manufacturer.
