How Do I Operate and Monitor My EBOSS® System?
Learn the basic operating modes, how to read the home screen, what to do if a fault appears, and how to view performance data.
1. How EBOSS® Operates
EBOSS® automatically switches between power modes depending on load and battery status.
a. EBOSS Supplying Grid Power (Generator Off)
Batteries power the load. The generator is off.

.
b. Generator Power + Battery Charging
The generator powers the load and charges the batteries.

.
c. Generator and EBOSS Together
Both work together temporarily when demand exceeds one source.

.
You don’t need to manually switch between modes — EBOSS handles this automatically.
2. Reading the Home Screen
The home screen gives a quick status overview:
-
Top Left: Generator voltage, power, and run status.
-
Top Right: Battery charge level and charging/discharging state.
-
Power Flow Section: Lines indicate power flow.
-
Gray = off
-
Green = active
-
Red = fault
-
If something turns red, tap the red fault symbol to see details.
3. When a Fault Appears
When a fault occurs, you’ll see a red fault icon on the screen. Tap it to open the Faults screen.

The system logs up to 200 faults. If the issue doesn’t clear after checking cables and supply power, contact ANA support.
4. Viewing System Trends
The “Trends” screen shows your system’s performance over time. You can view:
-
Battery charge and discharge rates
-
Current charge level
-
Grid power use

This is useful for reviewing power usage overnight or understanding when the generator started.
5. Remote Monitoring (SCADA)
If your EBOSS® system is equipped with SCADA remote monitoring, you can view performance data online:
-
Battery Status: Overall battery charge and cell health
-
Generator Status: Current and historical data
-
Trending: Any data point can be tracked over time

6. Safety Reminder
The EBOSS® battery system is always energized. If any service or maintenance is needed, the service disconnect must be pulled first to safely isolate the battery.
Customers should not service internal components themselves — contact ANA for support.
